HOW WE CAN HELP

Constituent services are a critical aspect of the Aldermanic role. I encourage you to use my office as a resource to communicate with departments about past due service requests.

Here are the steps we recommend taking to ensure your concerns are addressed:

1

Report your issue to the Citizens Service Bureau (CSB). You will receive an expected resolution date and a request number once reported.

2

If your request is not addressed by the expected resolution date, please contact my office and provide your request number.

3

My office will work to advocate to the approriate department. In the meantime, we recommend taking your own steps to mitigate the issue if possible.

THINGS NOTES ABOUT CSB REQUESTS

EACH DEPARTMNET HAS A DIFFERENT SYSTEM AND TIMELINE FOR HANDLING SERVICE REQUESTS. SOME REQUESTS MAY TAKE HOURS TO RECIEVE A RESPONSE, WHILE OTHERS MAY TAKE MONTHS.

I CANNOT DIRECT A CITY DEPARTMENT ON HOW TO PERFORM SERVICES. WHILE MY OFFICE CAN ASK A DEPARTMENT TO INVESTIGATE AN ISSUE, WE CANNOT FORCE THEM TO REACH TO A PARTICULAR DECISION.

MANY DEPARTMENTS ADDRESS ISSUES IN THE ORDER THEY ARE RECIEVED. I CANNOT AND WILL NOT ASK A DEPARTMENT TO MOVE YOUR REQUEST AHEAD OF OTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN WAITING.
