MEET OUR TEAM
Vivian Walter
Legislative Assistant | walterv@stlouis-mo.gov
Vivian graduated with her master’s degree in Political Science and Public Affairs from St. Louis University, specializing in Public Policy and Administration with focused research on municipal government management. Before joining the Ward 5 team, Vivian’s professional background included teaching Political Science at St. Charles Community College, assisting Outreach and Engagement programs for Missouri State Parks in St. Louis, and interning for the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where she got her bachelor’s in Political Science.
As Legislative Assistant, Vivian conducts research, analyzes policy, drafts legislation, and manages constituent requests. In her free time, she likes to unwind with a cozy craft or walking through the city’s many parks.

Cydney Johnson
Executive Secretary | johnsoncy@stlouis-mo.gov

Cydney serves as Executive Secretary to the Board of Aldermen, where he supports the legislative process through coordination, communication, and administrative leadership. In this role, he works closely with city officials, staff, and the public to ensure the efficient operation of board meetings, documentation, and policy-related processes.
Cydney attended Kansas State University. A current resident of Dutchtown and raised in the Walnut Park neighborhood, he brings a strong connection to the city and a commitment to public service. He is actively engaged in civic and community initiatives, contributing time and perspective to advisory committees and neighborhood-focused efforts while working to strengthen connections between local government and the community it serves.
